Referring Professionals & Facilities

For many, the most difficult stage in the recovery process is the transition from treatment to back into public life. Without the structure and support of a recovery program, patients may feel overwhelmed, isolated and hopeless. They fail to follow the prescribed continuum of care program, and nearly half of them will relapse.

Our Bridging Programs are designed to complement and enhance participants' existing continuum of care or after care programs. These programs provide continued structure, support and accountability, helping participants maintain their prescribed plans and extend the success and hard work they have already put towards their recovery.

Program Features:

Structure & Accountability
The success of structured continuing care programs for airline pilots and medical professionals has been well documented, and the Bridging Programs were created on the same principles. Accessible anywhere via the web, participants take part in up to 26 group sessions, providing a structured schedule of activities. If participants fail to attend their scheduled programs, the Bridges Network can contact appropriate family members, sponsors or regulatory agencies. In the case of non-compliance, early intervention can interrupt the relapse process and circumvent long-ranging difficulties.

Licensing & Judicial Advocacy (Virtual Bridging Plus Program)
For participants at greater risk of relapse or with additional licensing or judicial requirements, the Plus program provides active testing, documentation and advocacy services. Our representatives will work to ensure participants meet all legal obligations or requirements for employers and licensing agencies.

Real-Time Video Sessions
The key to this program's success is the ability to participate in online group sessions and individual mentoring with real-time voice and video chat. Participants can experience the same connection and accountability they have with face-to-face counseling and meetings, increasing commitment to their prescribed programs.

Gender-Specific Groups
Groups are available for Men and Women, allowing for a more comfortable group dynamic than co-ed sessions. Additionally, a group designed specifically for Professionals offers another option for participants dealing with professional requirements, travel and other business-associated pressures.

Privacy
Participants enjoy complete privacy throughout the program. They can choose to use their real name, first name only or a screen name, and no one except the session leader is ever visible through the video chat. Accessible from home or anywhere else via internet connection, participants can join group sessions in privacy.

Education & Resources
More than just mentoring or coaching, the programs also include training in valuable life skills vital to successful recovery. Sessions help participants deal with common triggers and diversions like relationships, financial issues and parenting. We also provide access to a wide range of resources, both online and locally, for treatment centers, counseling, twelve step programs and more.

"I just completed an online treatment program and The Bridges was the logical next step. It's all online. I have my privacy, I can afford it and it fits my lifestyle."
